Madeline, now 15 years old, has been helping in the garden her whole life. What began as a small flower patch to keep Madeline busy while the rest of her family was tending the vegetable garden has grown into her full-fledged passion for growing and arranging flowers. Each summer, the thousands of flowers Madeline grows bring a splash of color and beauty to our family gardens.

The season starts in the middle of winter, when Madeline pours over flower catalogs and plans what her garden will look like. The hard work begins mid March when she plants her seeds indoors under grow lights.

During the summer, Madeline spends hours taking care of her plants--picking flowers and arranging bouquets to sell every Saturday at the farmer's market.

Look for Madeline’s Flowers at the Downtown Lawrence Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, and stop by to say hello!
